Tepoztlan is a nahuatl word that means “Place of the cooper axe” or “ Place of the broken stones”. It’s 21 kilometres from Cuernavaca, Morelos. It’s a region surrounded by a unique mountain range with different altitude, and an enormous climate diversity that creates a fantastic weather, but the weather is not the only beauty that Tepoztlan has, but also amazing landscapes, traditions, flora, fauna and ancestral jewels that had given it an international renown, So Tepoztlán has turned in one of the most well-known destinations in Mexico.
Tepoztlán is divided in 8 districts with stone pavimented streets that keep zealously constructions from XVI century. In its natural spaces you can practice ecotourism, mountain climbing and camping, At the time that you enjoy the desicious ant typical food from the place, without forgeting the famous “Tepoznieves” exotic ice-creams because of its combinations, like the one with cherry and petal rose flavour or an other with prickly pear and chilli flavour, for mention some.
